Prof. Anit Somech is an organizational psychologist, and a full Professor at the Educational Leadership & Policy Department, Faculty of Education, University of Haifa, Israel. Anit Somech received her first degree in Psychology and Statistics (1983), and a M.A in Educational -Clinical Psychology (1988) at the University of Haifa. She received her Ph.D. degree in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management, at the Technion, the Israel Institute for Technology, with an emphasis on Behavioral Sciences and Management (1994). Her research focuses on work motivation and management from a situational and multilevel perspective. Specifically, she investigates (a) organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) at the individual, team, and organizational level (b) team work, and (c) Participative leadership.
